Kurta and Kurtis 


The primary difference between Kurta and Kurti is nothing more than their lengths. Kurta are normally long, typically calf length, whereas a Kurti is often short often at waist or hip length. There are some that are mid- thigh length as well, and while some classify those as kurta, others classy them as kurtis.


Depending on the style and pattern, both men and women can wear them. Typically, kurtas were worn by both men and women throughout history, 



Who wear kurta?


Kurta is a term used to refer to a long loose shirt, the length of which falls below or may be just above the knees of the wearer. In the olden times, it was primarily worn by men, but today, it has become a unisex dress that both men and women can wear.



Women wear a Kurti with a fitted churidar or salwar for a traditional look or with jeans for an Indo-western look. Men usually wear a Kurta with Pajama for a classic look.
